Roses Are Red

rose romper (under $100) | black leather jacket (linked similar) | lace up sandals

Hello & happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day. It is finally starting to feel a little like spring lately. This weekend, the weather here was sunny & in the 70’s and flowers are beginning to bloom. In the spirit of things, I decided to share one of my favorite winter to spring transition outfits. Whether you have date night or a concert to go to, this outfit is perfect! I absolutely love the romantic, delicate rose print on this romper (which, yes, I “borrowed” from my sister a few months ago. Sorry Allie!). To give it some edge and add an extra layer of warmth for a chilly night, I added my favorite black leather jacket. For shoes, you could totally opt for black booties or over the knee boots, but I added some gold lace up sandals just to dress it up a bit. I think this outfit would also be perfect with converse for a laid-back look as well.

I hope you are having a wonderful Monday morning!

xoxo,

Mackenzie

Blush Fur Jacket

off the shoulder top (linked in my fave print) | black leather leggings (under $30) | black booties (linked similar) | faux fur coat (linked similar, affordable option)

Back in all black. Who’s shocked? I am not really one for winter clothes. I definitely prefer the cheerful colors and bold prints of spring and summer. From about November to the end of February, you can pretty much always find me wearing head to toe black (and occasionally the fun pop of color). In the spirit of the upcoming holiday (*cough cough* Valentine’s Day), I decided to throw on a blush toned fur jacket from the brand Lioness. This fur jacket makes me feel super glamorous and a little sassy. Best part though? It’s super warm. Comfort + style; score.

Mackenzie

Even though spring is almost here, it’s still very chilly here in the South. So in these last few weeks of cold weather, I love to break out my favorite winter outfits. This #edgy one is no exception. An all-black outfit is always my go-to whether I am hitting the town with friends or going on a date night. I paired my favorite leather jacket with a black blouse, ripped jeans, statement heels, and, of course, bold, red lips. There’s something about the combination of leather and red lips that makes me totally feel like Sandy from Greece.

Tell me about it, stud.

If you have been following me on Tumblr for the past two years, you know that I have always been scared of wearing jeans for some bizarre reason. To be completely honest, I don’t think I have even tried on jeans in the past five to six years, which is crazy; I know. It is a new year and a new season in my life, so I decided to break out of my comfort zone and do something completely different. I fell in love with this comfortable pair of Paige jeans. They had the perfect amount of ‘rips’, making them a little edgy, but still totally wearable. They were on sale at Nordstrom Rack in my hometown, so I couldn’t find an excuse to say no.  To make this outfit a little more casual, you could swap out the heels for some riding boots, ballet flats, or booties and rock a neutral glossy lip instead of the bold red.

I hope that y’all had an awesome Valentine’s Day & that you are having a fabulous week so far!

Turtleneck | Leather Skirt | Tights | Booties (linked similar)

Hey lovely people! The little leather skirt is my winter time obsession- especially for night! I purchased this sassy, burgundy one last fall, and I’ve been obsessed with it for over a year now. Every time I wear this skirt, I tend to be an outfit repeater. I constantly pair it with a black turtleneck, black tights, and black booties. It’s my go-to look for any night out. However, I think it would also look great for daytime with a long sleeve, black/white striped top and black riding boot.

Let’s talk about these gorgeous photos. Thank you so much to Taylor Nicole for all of these stunning photos. I had so much working with you for these past few outfit posts. [Check out her website here & her Facebook page here!]

I hope y’all are having a fabulous, fabulous weekend so far,

xoxo
