Boho Blouse
TOP printed blouse (currently sold out- similar options linked below) | JEANS white busted jeans | WEDGES espadrille wedges | PURSE chloe purse | NECKLACE gold coin necklace (sold out- linked similar)
Hello, hello & happy Wednesday! The first week back from spring break is never an easy one, let me tell you. However, I do love routine, and I am more than ready to get back into the swing of things. Graduation is 52 days away, which absolutely blows my mind. I still can’t believe how quickly college has flown by. Boy, is it bittersweet.
This past week in Dallas, I finally got to break out three of my favorite new pieces: a purple printed blouse, white ripped jeans, and neutral espadrille wedges. I eyed this breezy blouse for weeks. I typically find myself lusting over printed shorts, dresses, and rompers- never really dying over tops. However, when I discovered the brand ‘Spell & the Gypsy’, that completely changed for me. Spell makes the most incredible printed pieces, especially blouses. I love that their prints make a statement without being too overwhelming. When I saw this top on Planet Blue (let alone at a discounted price !!), I immediately had to add it to my cart. This top is a ridiculously comfortable, and I love the thought of knotting it at the waist and pairing it with a white midi skirt or some white culottes (swoon) for summer.
For a night out in Dallas, I paired the top with my new white ripped skinny jeans and espadrille wedges. (Side note: though I love these affordable espadrille wedges, make sure that you wear a band aid on your heels the first few times you wear them out. I’ve worn them twice now, and I would highly recommend a band aid the first 2-3 times you wear them.) To keep the rest of the look laid back and beachy, I added my favorite half up/half down hairstyle and a slouchy purse (that my lovely mom let me borrow). I finished the look off with a simple gold coin necklace that I purchased last summer.
All in all, I have a new love affair with printed blouses, especially for spring. They make for the perfect transition piece that can be paired with pants and shorts alike. I’ve linked a few printed blouses below at a variety of price points.
I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday!

Printed Romper
ROMPER printed romper (c/o of June & Beyond Boutique) | CARDIGAN Show Me Your Mumu cardigan (unavailable- linked Mumu’s newest cardigan that I just ordered) | PURSE five zip crossbody | SANDALS lace up sandals (linked other options below) | NECKLACE conch shell necklace (linked dupe)
The end of spring break marks the official beginning of spring in my book. I am beyond thankful that the weather is starting to finally warm up because I have been dying to break out this adorable, little romper from June & Beyond Boutique. When I first saw this romper online, I thought it was navy and white. To my surprise, it’s actually black and white- which I LOVE (emphasis on LOVE). I am always down for a fun, neutral piece, especially one with a killer print. Even though I spent spring break in Texas, a girl can still pretend to be on vacation/somewhere tropical, right? To give this romper some beach vibes, I paired it with my favorite lightweight cardigan, a crossbody purse, lace up sandals, and a conch shell choker (trying to start a trend here, ya feel).
As embarrassing as this is to admit, I think I’ve tried almost every single style of Show Me Your Mumu rompers. My usual go-to romper styles? The Riri, Rocky, and the Rascal. However, I can definitely say it’s safe to say the ‘Rorey’ is now one of my new faves! The ‘Rorey’ style is breezy and lightweight, making it perfect for the beach, brunch, or anything in between. I love the adjustable cami straps and the cinched waist. Additionally, I love how comfortable it is. Throw on a chunky cardigan + neutral sandals, and you’re ready to go!

Mackenzie
*P.S. On a totally random side note, I have been obsessed with my new highlighting palette from Anastasia Beverley Hills. I mentioned it on my wishlist post, and I decided to cave in with my Christmas $. It’s stunning, and if you are on the fence about it, I can 100% say that it is SO worth the money (especially if you want to blind everyone with your highlight). Okay, end random side note.

Favorite Shoe Trends for Spring 2017
Everybody has their own guilty pleasure. For me personally, it’s shoes. I can admit that I have something of a shoe addiction and that I own more shoes than any human being probably should. They say the first step is admitting you have an addiction, and friends, I definitely have a weakness for shoes. Whether it be strappy sandals, sky-high patforms, or anything in between, I want them all.
I can hardly contain how excited I am for all of the spring trends this season- shoe trends included, of course. I wanted to share three of my favorite shoe trends for this upcoming season that I have been noticing (and loving) lately!
White Kimono
Pink Lace Dress
March Wishlist + Recent Purchases
Hello & happy Sunday! It’s raining & gloomy here in Mississippi today, so I thought I’d compile some pieces I’ve had on my radar lately (along with some recent purchases). Brands are starting to release their new spring collections, and it makes me beyond elated. I can’t deny that I am ready for the warm weather and bright colors ahead. I am especially loving all the hues of pink and blue that I’ve been seeing lately.
On my wishlist, I have some basics staples, some pops of color, and a beauty lust in mind. I’ve been quite good about saving money the past few months, so I feel like it’s about time for a mini shopping spree with spring just around the corner (technically 15 days, but hey, who’s counting?). I’ve already purchased a few of these gems, and I’ve discussed each piece below!
Without further ado, friends, here are some pieces on my March wishlist:

Hello & happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day. It is finally starting to feel a little like spring lately. This weekend, the weather here was sunny & in the 70’s and flowers are beginning to bloom. In the spirit of things, I decided to share one of my favorite winter to spring transition outfits. Whether you have date night or a concert to go to, this outfit is perfect! I absolutely love the romantic, delicate rose print on this romper (which, yes, I “borrowed” from my sister a few months ago. Sorry Allie!). To give it some edge and add an extra layer of warmth for a chilly night, I added my favorite black leather jacket. For shoes, you could totally opt for black booties or over the knee boots, but I added some gold lace up sandals just to dress it up a bit. I think this outfit would also be perfect with converse for a laid-back look as well.
I hope you are having a wonderful Monday morning!

Black & White
“What’s black, white, and red all over?“. Anybody else remember those classic jokes from middle school? I sure do. The answer was usually ‘a newspaper‘, but some kids really liked to get creative and make up something new. So like every normal twenty-something year old college student, I decided to pull some inspiration.
Around the beloved (or dreaded) v-day, outfits adorned with splashes of reds and pinks fill our Pinterest feeds. Don’t get me wrong, friends, I love a good, classic Valentine’s Day Outfit. I really do! But sometimes you just want to opt for something easy, simple, and neutral. Something that works for date nights and gal-pal parties alike.
black turtleneck (linked similar) | Privacy Please skirt | black over the knee boots (linked similar)
For this kind of anti-Valentine’s Day look (if we wanna call it that), I decided to opt for a black turtleneck top, a white skirt, and black over the knee boots. Simple and clean. For a pop of red, you could totally rock a red clutch or some bold red lips (my newest favorite shade is “Little Weapon” from Colourpop. It’s everything.).
Who says you can’t wear white in February? I adore this flouncy skater skirt from Privacy Please. It will be perfect for spring with a printed top and little lace up sandals, but I love it this time of year as a transition piece. I love that it feels so high quality and that it is lined (there’s nothing worse than a see through skirt. Who’s with me on that one?). I picked it up on sale in white a few months ago on Revolve, but it’s available in so many great prints.
Whether you decide to opt for a classic red, girly pink, or classic neutral outfit for Valentine’s Day, I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow and that you spend the holiday with your loved ones! Regardless of whatever plans you may have, I think Vday is the perfect day to really celebrate those you care about. On that note, I just wanted to say that I love and appreciate you! Thank you for your constant support and for making me feel loved.
xoxo,
Mackenzie
