BODYSUIT black bodysuit (size small) | SHORTS printed swing shorts (old- linked in another print that I also own!) | BELT black western belt (size xxs) | JACKET black leather jacket (old- linked similar option) | PURSE zip crossbody purse
I love bodysuits, even though they slightly remind me of my many, many years in ballet classes. Though I am into bodysuits, I honestly do not own many. They always seemed a little bit out of my comfort zone, and I was constantly unsure about what I would even pair them with. I ordered this simple, black one a few weeks ago on something of an adventurous whim. I typically order things in an XS, but unfortunatly, this specific bodysuit was sold out, so I picked up a small. I am actually really glad I picked up the small because it’s fitted, but not skin tight. The cut of this bodysuit is probably my favorite part! I love that it has a higher neckline, but the back is super fun and flirty. I find it to definitely be super flattering (and comfy). I actually have the white version in my shopping cart right now; I am dying to pick up another! I wore this bodysuit about three weeks ago to a prog metal concert, and I fell in love (with the bodysuit, ahem). I paired it with black jeans, my fave western belt, black booties, and a camo jacket for an edgy, but still on-trend, look.
One of my most frequently asked questions this time of year is ‘what do I wear to a concert?!‘. Concert attire can be tough. For me personally, I like having solid, versatile basics that I can easily accessorize to fit the genre (because yes, sometimes I go to concerts that aren’t screamo. Sometimes.). I shared this post a few months ago about my go-to black romper and how to style it for a country concert. This black bodysuit is no exception (though you should probably wear pants or shorts w/ it). I decided to pair the suit with some floral, swing shorts and white converse for a concert look that I think could fit for most shows! I also think this look would be a perfect outfit for any outdoor, summer concert. For a country concert, throw on some denim shorts and cowboy boots, and you’re good to go. For something a little more edgy, opt for skinny jeans and a choker. The styling options are endless, friends.
Are you going to be trying out the bodysuit trend this summer? Let me know!
