Hello & happy Friday! Can you believe this week is already over? What I am even more in shock over is the fact that my summer internship is over. It went by so flippin quick. As you may know, I had the opportunity to intern for Oracle in Silicon Valley this summer. It was incredible. Incredible may actually be an understatement. Today was my official last day, and I may or may not have cried.
For my last day of work, I wore my very favorite office-friendly dress. In fact, this may be my favorite dress I own. I can’t even count the number of times I have worn it over the past few months. After stealing it from my mom’s closet for weeks, she finally let me keep it in my closet and take it to California. And boy, do I LOVE it. Not only is it comfy, but it’s so easy to just throw on and go. For work, I paired it with my favorite flats. To make it more ‘night-ready’, I threw on my favorite black booties to dress it down a bit + a hint of edge. For dinner, my dad and I headed to Lemonade in Palo Alto. I heard countless rave reviews about it, so I decided to check it out for myself. It was absolutely amazing! If you have a Lemonade near you, it’s a must-go. It’s such a unique concept, and the food was delicious. My favorite thing there? The lemonade, of course.

Better in Blue
dress // clutch (similar) // lace up heels // earrings // bracelet
Pretty in pink.. but better in blue. I always seem to gravitate towards blue pieces in the same way it seems most people opt for the ever-so-classic black. I love black, don’t get me wrong, but there’s just something about blue that is so relaxing and fun at the same time. I also feel like it’s very universally flattering (unlike black, which is a color I tend to avoid when I am in dire need a serious tan). I have a confession to make, friends. I may or may not have snatched this dress from my mom’s closet. When I saw this blue & breezy Free People beauty hanging up, I just had to ‘borrow’ it (sorry mom, ily!). This floral mini dress is beyond comfy, and it’s incredibly lightweight, making it perfect for the warm (and sometimes sticky) months ahead. My favorite part about this dress though? It’s easy. It’s that dress that is your constant ‘go-to’. It doesn’t require much thought or contemplation. It’s easy to just throw on, go, and conquer the day. A day of shopping? Pair it with neutral or metallic sandals and a crossbody purse. Brunch with the girls? Lace-up sandal heels and a clutch are a must. This dress also comes in black, so yay for options! I know I will definitely be wearing this dress weekly during the summer. It’s just so adorable!

Take the Plunge
Dress: Revolve (only $50!) // Heels: Missguided (not available anymore, other fun heels linked below) // Bracelet: David Yurman
Life’s too short for boring shoes- and to not break out of your comfort zone every once in a while. My wardrobe basically consists of an excessive amount of halter tops and dresses. Plunging necklines have always intimidated me in the past, but when I spotted this dress on Revolve, I decided to take a risk & take the plunge. The NBD ‘everytime’ skater dress comes in several different colors (including black and white) and is surprisingly flattering. Plus, the price is pretty hard to beat at $50! I definitely think it runs true to size, and I purchased mine in an XS. If you are looking for the perfect dress for a formal or spring time event, look no further!
When I saw these wild, holographic heels on Missguided a few months ago, I couldn’t pass them up. I think they really add a unique touch to any outfit and make you stand out. I absolutely love fun shoes, especially to pair with more solid and neutral pieces in my wardrobe. I’ve linked some more exciting heels below!
I apologize that I have been a little MIA this past week, but I am now back from spring break! I had such a great time in Florida with my sorority sisters. The tans will fade, but the memories definitely won’t. I hope that you guys are having a great Sunday & a happy spring break!

Business in the front, party in the back. Your favorite dress has to be that perfect combination of classy and fun, and the Katy Halter dress is no exception. Show Me Your Mumu stopped my Sorority house last Friday for a trunk show. I had such a fun time trying on everything and playing dress up. I was, of course, unable to stop myself from picking up my favorite dress in one of their exclusive college tour prints. The red and blue pattern makes for the perfect gameday dress.
I am a strong believer in investing in versatile pieces- those go-to dresses, skirts, shorts, and tops that you find yourself constantly reaching for. At first glance, you would assume this is not a fall time dress whatsoever. However, with the help of some layering, it becomes ready for those chilly, autumn afternoons. There is something so special about the Katy Halter Dress. It’s also so incredibly versatile, making it that perfect dress for church or a night out with the girls. I find myself wearing it year round and styling it in new ways each time. I’ve been wearing this halter dress all season with warm layers, and I am also throwing it in my suitcase for my upcoming trip to Maui.
I decided that it would be fun to style my favorite, little dress for both day and night. For daytime I paired it with a chunky, neutral cardigan, a long necklace and fringe booties. I threw on my favorite, sassy sunglasses as well (that are under $6!). I also plan on pairing the dress with a denim jacket and riding boots for casual fall days as well. This look is great for holiday shopping and even brunch with the family.
Thank you so much for checking out my blog. Also, big thanks to my favorite person, Layne, for taking these gorgeous photos (y’all can check her out on instagram at @layne_little).

Dress: Free People | Sunglasses: Mirrored Aviators | Earrings: Hoops | Shoes: Fringe Booties | Lipstick: ‘Rebel’
Hello friends! It’s finally Thursday, and the weekend is almost here. There’s nothing I love more than spending my Saturday cheering on the Rebs! I absolutely love fall gamedays, so I thought I would share my new favorite gameday piece with y’all. When I stumbled upon this tunic on Free People, I knew I wanted needed it in my closet. I paired this flowy, floral tunic with my favorite fringed booties and bold lipstick. Because it is technically a tunic, I had a hard time selecting a size because I knew I wanted to wear it as a dress. I decided to go for a ‘large’ to avoid the risk of it being too short! I think it could definitely look great as a top paired with jeans or shorts. Even though this piece is patterned, I find that it is so versatile and can be worn in a variety of ways!
Thank you so much for checking out my blog! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
Pink & Green Dream
Dress • Sandals • Earrings • Clutch (not available- similar) • Book
Whenever I am stuck on what to wear, I always reach for this easy dress. I have already worn it 4-5 now, and I just purchased it last month. I love it because it is not only super comfortable, but it is very versatile. Before heading to Africa, I stopped by Anthropologie with my sister to shop. I had no intentions of actually purchasing anything, I just went with her to browse. Allie tried on this striped green dress, and I fell in love. I am sure she was less than pleased that I ended up purchasing it too, but I just couldn’t help it! When we were checking out, the employee working at the cash register told us that our ‘new favorite dress’ was actually a tunic! She said that her favorite way to style it was to pair it with jeans or shorts and tie it at the waist. I definitely plan on wearing it as a shirt by knotting it at the waist and pairing it with a white skirt. However, I absolutely love it as a dress though! It comes in so many fun patterns- and it runs petite. This dress/shirt/versatile piece was definitely more of a splurge for me, but I would totally repurchase it another pattern in the near future. I find myself constantly wearing it this season.
I decided to pair this dress with my favorite pink tassel earrings (that are now back in stock here!!), neutral sandals, and a hot pink clutch. I purchased this clutch in three colors several years ago at Jcrew. It is such a fantastic clutch that easily works for both day and night!
P.S. These photos were taken back in TX before heading off abroad. I took several pictures back home before heading here that I forgot to post! I will be catching up on posting those photos over the next few weeks! Also, I have been loving this fabulous London tour book from Anthropologie. It has so many fun places and sites recommended by locals! I would definitely recommend picking it up if you are heading to London this summer.

Little White Dress
Everybody loves a little black dress. But for summer, the little white dress is a must-have. I find myself wearing them constantly during the summer time because they are incredibly versatile and look great with a tan. Out of all of the white dresses I own, this one is definitely my favorite. I love the lace detailing and the open back. I also own it in black as well! I love to pair “the little white dress” with turquoise and gold jewelry. It’s definitely my favorite color combination for the season.
Sadly, the weather in Texas has been rainy again. We had a nice week or so of sunshine, but lately it’s been back to tropical storms. I spent the day in Dallas and had a great time visiting the Dallas Museum of Art and eating Sprinkles cupcakes! Between packing for 8+ weeks abroad, having friends in town, and accidentally having my hair dyed gray- it’s been a chaotic week! I couldn’t be more excited to head to Africa tomorrow for a perfect safari getaway.
Hope you all are having a great week!
