TOP stripe linen button down | SKIRT stripe linen skirt | SHOES metallic flatforms (linked this year’s version)

Stripes + summertime. Has there ever been a more perfect combo? Okay, Okay. It’s not quite summer – I know, but it sure is starting to feel like it! When I saw this amazing striped set on Jcrew a few months ago, I immediately pictured summertime. It totally gives me nautical vibes. Now that I am graduating from college this month, I am starting to be mindful of pieces I can wear to work when I am shopping. This set would be awesome for work or a summer internship! I love midi skirts myself, and this one is just too perfect. For reference, I did order the smallest size in petite, and it was unfortunately too big (which is not a problem I have ever had with any of my jcrew midi skirts in the past). I did have the waist altered, and it now fits perfectly. After weeks of being out of stock, this gem is finally back on the site! Fingers crossed they’ll restock all of the sizes soon.

What I love about sets is that they offer a variety of different styling options. You can of course wear both pieces together for the perfect pair or wear them individually for a ton of cute combos. For example, I would definitely pair the skirt with any white top (like a white tee) or a solid white button down. As for the striped linen top, I think it would be perfected with a white midi skirt or jeans! I like the thought of it knotted at the waist with a little denim skirt and white converse for a cool & casual look. For work, I would definitely pair the skirt with my favorite white midi skirt and neutral heels for a classic, chic ensemble.

Both pieces are not only beautiful together, but perfect on their own as well. As for the material of this set, I adore linen. Now that I think about it, I really don’t have a whole lot of linen in my closet, but it’s an amazing fabric for spring and summer. I also love the colors incorporated in this set as well! Red is not usually one of my go-to colors, but I do like how the red of this set is washed out and subtle. All in all, this set has been one of my favorite additions to my wardrobe this past season!
