Last fall, I started my ‘internship hunt’. After reading the book “All Work, No Pay” by Lauren Berger (aka the ‘intern queen‘), I felt inspired. I knew the journey ahead of me wasn’t going to be easy, but I knew it would be one of the most important things for my career and my post-college job hunt.

College Apartment Tour
Hello & happy Friday! It’s raining here in Oxford, so I thought I would make a little room tour of my new apartment. For the past three years in college, I have been living on campus. I have to say, I honestly do miss living in the dorm and the sorority house. However, it is nice to finally have my own room (and to have a slightly bigger closet- let’s be real)!
For my senior year, I reused my bedding from California (which was actually reused from my sister’s freshman dorm room). For decor, I wanted to keep it simple, but a little eccentric this year. My favorite decor piece in my room? Definitely my cow skull that I picked up on a whim at an antique mall in Dallas. It’s definitely not everybody’s cup of tea, but I thought it was a cool find. My other favorite decor piece would definitely be these cactus lights. They’re amazing!
[You can shop all my decor by clicking the link under each photo!]
So without further ado, here is my college apartment room:
Anthropologie bedding (linked similar)
Gold wall decoration from Hobby Lobby (couldn’t find link, but it’s available in-stores)
Cow skull (linked similar)
Watercolor flamingo (linked similar)
White soft blanket (have had this one since freshman year!)
Hanging calendar (mine is from Target; linked a similar option)
Giraffe decor (linked similar) | Cocktail book (20% off!) | San Francisco book (20% off!)
Voluspa candle | Skull sticker (c/o of Show Me Your Mumu + linked similar)
Printed mirror (my mom & sister made this for me when I was in high school)
I use plastic drawers under my bed as well to store t-shirts, socks, etc.
Vintage western belt (linked similar) | Horn necklace (linked similar)
Repotted these plants
Tall gold lamp from Hobby Lobby
White & blue tile shower curtain
I hope that you enjoyed my college room tour! Thank you for checking out my blog.

Senior year: What’s in my Backpack
Hi friends & happy Monday! Today is my first day of school, and I have seven classes left before I graduate college (!!!). Time seriously goes by so quickly. It feels like just yesterday I was a freshman- walking into the wrong classes and getting completely (key word: COMPLETELY) lost on campus. Senior year is something so bittersweet.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve gotten so many requests to do a back to school/what’s in my backpack post. I recently picked up some new school goodies like this amazing floral planner. Going back to school shopping always gets me started to begin a new semester. I hope you can find this post helpful! Let me know what you keep in your backpack.
[P.S. My college apartment room tour will be up soon this week! I am so excited to share my new apartment.]

Cool for the Summer
On me: layered crop top | tropical skirt | bull cardigan (SO comfy- borrowed this piece from my stylish Mom) | converse // On Alexandra: off shoulder blouse (on sale- under $50) | shorts (on sale- under $50!)
Happy Wednesday night! I am finally back in the lovely state of Texas. It’s been so nice catching up with my family and hometown besties. However, I have to say I am missing the gorgeous Northern California weather. Luckily, there has been a cool front here in Dallas, making it bearable to brave the outdoors.
My sister, Alexandra, and I headed to Dallas to explore our favorite Texas city. Our day consisted of Steel City Pops (the best!!), decor shopping at antique malls, and my favorite restaurant, Blue Mesa. It’s been so nice to be back home with my sister and my family! In just two days, I am heading back to Oxford to finish my final year of college. I’m super excited to catch up with all my college friends and to decorate my new apartment!
What are you looking forward to this school year?

Hello & happy Friday! Can you believe this week is already over? What I am even more in shock over is the fact that my summer internship is over. It went by so flippin quick. As you may know, I had the opportunity to intern for Oracle in Silicon Valley this summer. It was incredible. Incredible may actually be an understatement. Today was my official last day, and I may or may not have cried.
For my last day of work, I wore my very favorite office-friendly dress. In fact, this may be my favorite dress I own. I can’t even count the number of times I have worn it over the past few months. After stealing it from my mom’s closet for weeks, she finally let me keep it in my closet and take it to California. And boy, do I LOVE it. Not only is it comfy, but it’s so easy to just throw on and go. For work, I paired it with my favorite flats. To make it more ‘night-ready’, I threw on my favorite black booties to dress it down a bit + a hint of edge. For dinner, my dad and I headed to Lemonade in Palo Alto. I heard countless rave reviews about it, so I decided to check it out for myself. It was absolutely amazing! If you have a Lemonade near you, it’s a must-go. It’s such a unique concept, and the food was delicious. My favorite thing there? The lemonade, of course.

Embroidered Mini Dress
embroidered dress (on sale!)| sunglasses | sandals
Happy Wednesday! Do you ever have a specific piece in your closet that you love, but just haven’t worn yet? That piece for me was this amazing flutter sleeve dress. It sat in my closet for weeks and weeks before I finally found the opportunity to wear it. For a night out with friends, I paired it with my favorite lace up sandals and yellow sunnies. It also looks amazing with neutral booties for fall. Best part about this dress? It’s currently on sale! I hope you all are having a fantastic week so far!

San Francisco Brewery Tour
“Look I’m a cactus!”
suede bodysuit | cold shoulder sweater (linked similar) | printed skirt (linked similar pattern) | black booties
Taylor and I met back in 5th or 6th grade (I can’t even remember because that seems so long ago), and we have been besties ever since. Taylor is one of those rare-gem kind of friends, always making me laugh and always having my back (and always putting up with me- even through my very scary middle school emo phase). It’s been such a blessing to have her in the Bay Area with me this summer. We’ve had so much fun exploring the city, trying new foods, and taking road trips. This past Saturday, our last Saturday together this summer (inserts crying face emoji), we took the train to the city to go on a brewery tour! A brewery tour was an idea that never crossed my mind, but when Taylor suggested it a few weeks, I though ‘why not? Yolo’.
Though I am not a huge beer fan myself, it was so interesting to see the beer making process. We toured the Anchor Brewing Company factory that recently celebrated their 120 year anniversary. We sampled several different beers and made some good memories. For our little outing, I wore a suede bodysuit, cold shoulder sweater, and printed skater skirt. All paired with my favorite black booties, of course. My outfit choice wasn’t exactly the smartest idea because it was freezing in the city, but luckily we were inside for the tour. I really love the bodysuit trend, surprisingly enough. It’s definitely out of my comfort zone, especially with this specific one being a little scandy. I’ve always been self conscious of my chest, but I’ve been trying to branch out this year and dive into plunging necklines. It’s always fun to try out new trends and experiment a little with fashion! I think this outfit would be perfect for a night out, especially paired with a leather jacket. Taylor rocked a bodysuit as well. All in all, it was a fun trip to SF. If you ever are in the Bay Area, brewery tours are a must do!

Day Trip to Monterey
floral tunic (linked another pattern) | black booties
Happy Monday! My dad flew into San Francisco this past Saturday to visit me/help me move out of my apartment. We took a short day trip to Monterey and Carmel, my dad’s favorite part of California. In Carmel, we explored the adorable town and checked out pretty much every single art gallery. After a lunch in Carmel, we headed to Monterey to check out the Dali exhibit. Salvador Dali is my very favorite artist, so it was amazing to see some of his original pieces in person.
For the trip, I wore my new favorite floral tunic (linked a similar pattern) paired with edgy, black booties. The weather here in California is just gorgeous all year. I am not sure how I am going to handle the Texas heat when I return home this weekend!

Let’s Be Tourists
Happy Friday! This past weekend, my friends and I headed up to the city to be ‘tourists’ in our own temporary home. We started our day off with a trip to the famous Ghirardelli Factory to have a totally worth-our-calories lunch. After eating a billion pounds of chocolate, we went to the Golden Gate Bridge to snap a few touristy pics and walk across the bridge. For dinner, we headed to Fisherman’s Wharf for some seafood. For our day trip adventure, I wore my new favorite ‘hands off my succulent’ tee paired with my black western booties.
I am so thankful for the friendships this summer, both new and old. [I am also thankful for friends that put up with my constant photo-taking- y’all rock!]. Tomorrow my dad is flying to SF to come visit me/help me move out. Leaving next weekend will be bittersweet. More bitter than sweet, in all honesty [which I will be diving into next week in a ‘summer summary’ post]. However, I am appreciating every single second left of this summer dream.

Hello friends & happy Monday! I hope you had an amazing weekend. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to shoot with a local photographer named Baldwin. We had such a blast shooting pictures around the city, and I wanted to share a few of my favorites! Baldwin is beyond talented & you should definitely check out his instagram @baldwinner.
