Hello & welcome to my little corner of the internet! I am so happy that you are here! My name is Mackenzie, and I am a twenty-four-year-old college graduate currently living in Northern California. Though I have spent the majority of my life as a Texan, this is my third time living in Northern California. By day, I run content strategy for a tech startup in San Francisco, but in my free time, I love blogging & sharing my life.
I first explored the blogging world as I entered into my freshman year of college. It all started with a Tumblr blog called “pinkandgreenlivingthedream”, a place where I gushed about my latest finds & shared my OOTDs. After my sophomore year, I decided to create this blog as a way to explore something new. Blogging has been such an amazing, creative outlet for me over these past few years. Additionally, it’s been the most incredible learning experience that I could have ever dreamed. I love having a place where I can share my adventures, travels, and photos. When I am not blogging, you can find me snapping photos, painting, spending time with my friends and family, shopping, or traveling the world with passport in hand.

B E H I N D T H E L E N S
My love affair for photography began in the dark room way back in middle school. Taking my first photography class was such an enlightening experience, and soon after, I decided to join the yearbook staff. I loved taking candid photos and playing around in Photoshop. Somewhere between middle school and college, I lost my spark for photography as I tried a plethora of other activities. After embarking on an African safari midway through college, I fell in love with photography all over again.
There is nothing that excites me more than snapping photos of the amazing people and breathtaking places around me. I love being able to capture candid moments and tell a story. Photography has given me another creative outlet to really express myself and ‘freeze’ life’s most beautiful moments. Meeting new people and discovering new parts of the world are by far the most rewarding aspects of photography.

M A P L O V E R
Travel is such a huge part of my life; it’s my passion and my escape. There is no greater gift in the world than the gift of travel- experiencing new places, meeting new people, and embracing cultural differences. Traveling across the globe has changed me forever and has opened my eyes to the diversity that exists around us. I have been to over thirty countries, and I hope I am not done yet! Traveling has made me realize how blessed we are as Americans to live in such a great country. Seeing and meeting people all over the world has enlightened me and made me want to make a difference in the world.
Right before I left Texas for my freshman year of college, I went on my first backpacking trip with my dad. We trekked over 100 miles across Northern Spain on the El Camino de Santiago. It was such an incredible, spiritual journey and learning experience. After my sophomore year, I traveled around Africa on a safari and also studied abroad at the London School of Economics. I recently returned from a trip to India and Nepal and was amazed by the colors, sights and sounds of the region. I never put my camera down the whole trip. Life is such an exciting adventure, & I am loving every second of it!
